Sorry for the Silence—Let’s Talk Self-Care for a Sec!

Hello Reader!

It’s been a little while! 😊 I took a short pause from my emails, not because I forgot about you, but because I wanted to make sure I was taking care of myself as we gear up for the holiday season.

I often discuss burnout prevention with my clients, and over the last few weeks, I needed to walk the talk and recharge my own batteries.

As we head toward the end of the year, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by our own to-do lists, commitments, and holiday planning.

So, I thought now might be the perfect time to chat about gentle reminders to make time for you—especially when it feels like there’s no time at all!

Here are a few simple ways to stay balanced and find little moments of rest:

1. Plan Your Own “Mini Retreats” 🧘‍♀️
Whether it’s just a quiet half hour in the morning or a small ritual before bed, set aside little blocks of time to do something that grounds and centers you.

It could be journaling, a short walk, or even reading that book you’ve been meaning to start. Sometimes, even 10 minutes of “you time” can make a big difference.

2. Say “No” (Even to Good Things!) 🙅‍♀️
The holiday season, from Halloween through the New Year, is packed with events, parties, and things to do—but it’s okay to skip a few, even if they sound fun!

Remind yourself that it’s alright to say “no” without guilt and save that energy for the things that really matter to you.

3. Prioritize Nourishing Foods (Yes, and Enjoy Comfort Foods Too!) 🍲
If I’ve learned anything, it’s that a balanced diet includes the foods that bring us joy and keep us feeling strong.

Try to keep healthy, delicious meals in your routine, but don’t shy away from enjoying treats you love. Finding a balance between fueling your body and indulging a bit makes the holiday season way more enjoyable!
